Nasir Jones aka NAS has $6.5M financial woes

It is all over the web that NAS owes about $6.46M in back taxes and fell behind on his condo fees in Queens, New York at about $3,860. It was reported in Rolling Stone Magazine that the IRS filed a $514,298 tax lien on January 10th, which was added on to a $3 million lien from February 2010 and $2.5 million lien from October 2009. His troubles are obviously not new and he will probably spend some time in jail unless he comes up with a lot of money.

It was reported that he pays his former wife Kelis $20,000 per month spousal support and another $5,000 per month child support. I doubt that his financial woes were a secret to her, so I guess she will not have to get on welfare. But you never know when it comes to Negroes.

NAS is known to millions for his controversial lyrics and statements such as “Hip Hop is dead.” The liens were taken up at the register of deeds in New York City; they are going after his properties, as a means to recoup revenue from the Queensbridge Rap tycoon.

Birth name Nasir bin Olu Dara Jones who is a product on my hometown the Queensbridge Projects is 37 years old. He is a very talented young man, who might have to go very commercial lyrically because the brother needs bread. While whack artist like Lil Wayne is getting paid large, NAS claims Hip Hop is dead, which is true. But even drugs and alcohol is served to the perishing. Perhaps NAS might consider feeding the blind an overdose of light (Dumb Shit) and get paid and get out of this mess. Because in reality he is one contract, movie or tour from financial stability. No do not sellout brother, just put out your best stuff soon.

Hopefully my Nephew Dahoud Smith (DaUzi) might be getting out of prison in March 2011 he is also 37 years old. I hope this is not the real life trading places, because there is enough for the two and I was hoping for a team up. Perhaps NAS and LES might organize Queensbridge rappers and do my movie “Everybody has Demons,” which is some hot stuff and get paid. Maybe this is a blessing in disguise and God’s Son is a prodigal son who might come home with new humble beginnings. (The Bridge) I am sure will accept him with open arms.

I do not think it is over for NAS, he is too talented. I suggest he go get a good lawyer and accountants, two of my nieces’ do that type of work and are is his friends, give them a call dude. Good luck!

In recent months a number of Rappers have faced actions by the government, to include Doug Fresh and Lil Jon.
