Senseless Entertainment an Intellectual Insult

Senseless Entertainment an Intellectual Insult

Have you ever seen an award show? MTV and BET are well known award show channels. I remember when the Grammy’s really meant something. There were many artists, but there were a few household names, that we tuned in to see. I remember when a Pop Artist won like 8 Grammy’s in one night, at the time it was unprecedented. It was a night of excitement for his fans. Times have changed in the world and business of music.

Now you can tune in for about a half an hour and you seen the show. It is like every year someone locks down the awards, because they know they cannot sell as many artists as before so they promote a handful, who is not necessarily elite or extraordinary.

Before there was a script that seemed to be written by excellent screenwriters, now it is like everyone is independent. It is like they televise award shows because it is a requirement and not an enterprising venture. And you can see thru it. As during these hard economic times, you can see right through it, because it is a joke and the artists are often struggling.

Maybe I am a little older and not as easily fooled. Perhaps the kids are still being hoodwinked. But the gathering seems senseless these days. Let us face it we live in a concert goer’s generation and not an album buying generation. Back in the 80’s and part of the 90’s a good music video or two and a good album got you paid in full. Now many artists have to perform live and they cannot do it.

Concerts have become huge productions and are too expensive for the average person to attend. One hundred dollars will put you in the balcony. The reason for this is that the raw talent is often missing, so stunts replace talent. So a lot of people cannot go on tour and record sales are down across the board. So who are these people attending the award shows? Most of them do not sell a million records after their release or even go gold at 500,000 and cannot do a major tour.

The game changed. In the old days people had to sing and had to work hard, now things are computer generated. You can pitch correct vocals, transpose them, record slow and playback fast, I mean there is so much that can be done with little effort. The evolution of the business of music is that it is becoming a middle class society. Very few artists are actually rich these days. So who are these people at the award shows? Certainly they are not royalty and not even necessarily talented.

Open Letter to President Obama

Open Letter to President Obama

26 January 2011

Dear President Obama,

Educating our children:

I fell asleep during the State of the Union address, I do not know why maybe you do? I was not that sleepy thou I was tired. I do not know man.

Anyway in a short note, I want to address the education of our children. These kids are tired and weary, little kids are preoccupied with cartoons and young adults to senseless rap music and us older adults to fantasy films from Hollywood. I stated Hollywood on three counts. Have the first amendment rights run muck. In any case we as have been put to sleep and the baby sitters are in Hollywood.

As a result our nation has become handicapped; we as a nation we are educationally disabled. We cannot by law stop Hollywood but we can spend there tax dollars to curb the demand for their disservice to our nation and hopefully exchange their cancerous subliminal message with messages that a pro accomplishment and economic growth.

The Code to this message is that our children are educationally disabled. And as great a man might have put it, the system of education and law enforcement has insufficient funds. Because too many of our children go to prison and not enough goes to college and sir too damn many drops out of school and again not enough goes to college, this has to change.

We can address the judicial system and educational system, if not the first amendment rights of Hollywood. You were on point, our values as a nation are off course and Hollywood is the main culprit. They have brainwashed America and is looking for new candidates.

A solution: Recognize the educational disability and begin a new initiative. We need to push forward an (Americas Educational Disability Act). In short it would be a bill that would stop forcing kids to fall behind in schools and offer them the same educational assistance a person with a disability gets in college. Do I have to go further?

Mister President we replaced the slide rule with a calculator and the punch machine with a computer. Give every child a computer, calculator and handheld dictionary to use in the classroom to assist them with their lessons. Put away the hardcopy books and give them electronic books that have built in dictionaries with synonyms and anonyms, when words are highlighted and speak to them when they cannot pronounce a word.

Stop getting caught up on testing our children at every stage, for the tests should be at the final stages. As Satan was a tester the Lord is a teacher and we should teach our children by all available means.

Sir what good is technology unused?

Paul

Nasir Jones aka NAS has $6.5M financial woes

Nasir Jones aka NAS has $6.5M financial woes

It is all over the web that NAS owes about $6.46M in back taxes and fell behind on his condo fees in Queens, New York at about $3,860. It was reported in Rolling Stone Magazine that the IRS filed a $514,298 tax lien on January 10th, which was added on to a $3 million lien from February 2010 and $2.5 million lien from October 2009. His troubles are obviously not new and he will probably spend some time in jail unless he comes up with a lot of money.

It was reported that he pays his former wife Kelis $20,000 per month spousal support and another $5,000 per month child support. I doubt that his financial woes were a secret to her, so I guess she will not have to get on welfare. But you never know when it comes to Negroes.

NAS is known to millions for his controversial lyrics and statements such as “Hip Hop is dead.” The liens were taken up at the register of deeds in New York City; they are going after his properties, as a means to recoup revenue from the Queensbridge Rap tycoon.

Birth name Nasir bin Olu Dara Jones who is a product on my hometown the Queensbridge Projects is 37 years old. He is a very talented young man, who might have to go very commercial lyrically because the brother needs bread. While whack artist like Lil Wayne is getting paid large, NAS claims Hip Hop is dead, which is true. But even drugs and alcohol is served to the perishing. Perhaps NAS might consider feeding the blind an overdose of light (Dumb Shit) and get paid and get out of this mess. Because in reality he is one contract, movie or tour from financial stability. No do not sellout brother, just put out your best stuff soon.

Hopefully my Nephew Dahoud Smith (DaUzi) might be getting out of prison in March 2011 he is also 37 years old. I hope this is not the real life trading places, because there is enough for the two and I was hoping for a team up. Perhaps NAS and LES might organize Queensbridge rappers and do my movie “Everybody has Demons,” which is some hot stuff and get paid. Maybe this is a blessing in disguise and God’s Son is a prodigal son who might come home with new humble beginnings. (The Bridge) I am sure will accept him with open arms.

I do not think it is over for NAS, he is too talented. I suggest he go get a good lawyer and accountants, two of my nieces’ do that type of work and are is his friends, give them a call dude. Good luck!

In recent months a number of Rappers have faced actions by the government, to include Doug Fresh and Lil Jon.

The South Invades Hip Hop

The South Invades Hip Hop

Did the East and West coast get out of touch, due to the lack of creativity or did young Hip Hoppers fans stop developing? I remember in the 1990’s we had a serious revelry between the East and West Coast as the two coastlines dominated Hip Hop Industry. Though the revelry was good for business it was bad for a few big named artists, should I mention Biggy Smalls and Tupac?

Back then Rap Music was to be taken seriously as they were very territorial as Crips and Bloods made serious statements that were heeded. Then you also had rappers who not only made statements, but were educators. I was never a serious Rap fan, but back then you had to respect these artists as serious poets.

Now the South has come to shine. The southern mentality has to be reckoned with. Now Hip Hop has become a serous business to southern rappers. Do get me wrong the southern rappers for the most part talk loud and say nothing. For example take the Cash Money Crew, they are hotter than hell, slinging total garbage; I mean lollipop bitch ass shit. However they dominate the airwaves both in the South and East Coast. I listen to Southern radio and all I hear in Lil Wayne, Drake and Nicki Minaj, and then in the intermission you might hear P Diddy or Jay Z. But when I listen to Hop 97.1 from New York, it is not the other way around, still it is Lil Wayne, Drake and Nicki Minaj. Why is that, you would think New York City would represent its hometown artists?

I think it has little to do with talent, as East Coast rappers tend to be more lyrically talented, dealing with contemporary issues and all. People like NAS cannot be denied for his lyrical talent, so why don’t the south play the east but the east plays the south. Perhaps these country Negroes are hungrier. People down here are often forced to start there own businesses to survive and build their own homes to live in. This develops a more business savvy mentality, whereby often the east coast Negro rapper is often forced to live in large project complexes. Living in the projects can create a laid back mentality (lazy people), I know from experience.

If you ask me the south rapper is a member of the arrested development society lyrically, but they will pay to be played and work hard on nationwide tours by bus if necessary. While they sling drugs and music is often a front, they invest in equipment, while the east coast is still stuck on Air Jordan’s. So P Diddy, Jay Z, 50 Cent, Snoop Dogg, Ice Cube and the rest do not be haters be congratulators. Because your sorry asses handed the industry over to these punks, starting at 97.1 FM.

Jones under Multi-Levels Investigations due to Jackson’s Death

Frank Paul Jones the alias Frank Paul Gambino is under investigations by a multi-level of law enforcement agencies. On 22 December 2009 the bombshell fell as TMZ.com released FBI documents containing over 190 pages of investigation documents concerning an alleged plot by Frank Paul Jones to whack Michael Jackson over money owed in a secret business deal and a 50% stake in his estate.

When this bombshell first surfaced it seemed that the investigation was over, however after a better observation of current events it appears that this investigation has been ongoing for the last year, and what happened was that TMZ.com got a hold to information that was an on-going situation.

Jones who was found indigent by the court feels that they are trying to tie him to criminal activities beyond the Michael Jackson’s death and that he was illegally interrogated, in the County of Highlands, Florida., after being falsely arrested. Jones feels that are trying to take him down, but the problem is he is already down and out for the count. As he puts it, “I have nothing but a small two bedroom home still in probate and am the agent of some commercial property, as I depend on disability to live.” Yet the government is using high tech angles such as wiretapping and deep cover agents as well as doctors and lawyers to crack a code that does not exist.

Jones contends, “I know people who do bad things, however that does not make me a co-conspirator.” Since the run in with the law in 1991-94, he has not even been convicted of a misdemeanor, but now they want to treat this case of an alleged DUI as if he is a career criminal. Jones believes the investigations being carried out now are clandestine, for several reasons and feels the witch hunt must come to an end.

Jones who has several psychiatric diagnoses, one being Bi-Polar states that the threats he allegedly made may have been as a result of his disorder and not Organized Crime Connections. Admitting he may have been obsessed with John J. Gotti and the Gambino Family and yes was raised in Gambino Territory as a child in New York City. And, yes his parents may have been engaged in Mafia Criminal activities as well during his childhood, but that does not make him a co-conspirator or a RICO Act candidate. Stating both his parents and John J. Gotti are deceased, and he is not responsible for knowing what he knows or what they did in the past.

Frank Paul Jones aka Frank Paul Gambino feels that these recent developments and interrogations into his medical records and personal life is not the work of the Obama Administration or Eric Holder the Attorney General or even the FBI at this point. This is not the work of the Secret Service. This is the work of Hillbillies and interlopers trying to make a name for them.

Frank Paul Jones aka Frank Paul Gambino Productions and the Capstone Zulu Band, states for once and for all, “I had nothing to do with the death of Michael Jackson, or do I believe he is dead. The Federal Government knows this and these investigations and interrogations are futile. “I love America and am a law abiding citizen and any money used to investigate me is money wasted.”
