RE: The Unified Black Voice of Avon Park
22 May 2011
We want to open the Blue Temple Headquarters located at 923 South A Avenue , the Rib Shack Two Community Soup Kitchen located at 212 Hal McRae Blvd and the Main Street Homeless Shelter located at 119 West Main Street.
The NCNCHINC was founded in October 2009, we are the new kids on the block or are we. Actually there is a long history of this movement, me the founder and the membership. We are a group of decent men and women, trying to organize, improve and prepare the community for the transition about to take place in Highlands County, Florida. ?????
With over 50 churches in Highlands County we have strong Christian roots here. We do not want to offend anyone, especially the Christian demographics. Though we are not a religious organization and welcome all who needs help several members on the board of Directors and department heads are in fact Christians. However we must all learn to agree to disagree to move a coordinated affort forward.
We at the NCNCHINC recognize the economic deficiencies within the black communities around the nation, as our location headquarters is here in Avon Park, FL and we recognize that we have to take care of home first. Our first projects are focused on the Southside Redevelopment Area of Avon Park, FL. The area is known as "Delaney Avenue aka 'The Streets.'"
We at the NCNCHINC where many of us were thugs ourselves and know the streets so well and realize it is time to give something back. We are a coalition of organizations that have amalgamated to serve the greater communities of the United States.
The Blue Temple HQ Building will be the Central Location, for a lot of coordinated activities. We want to establish a clergy outreach group of clergyman who will meet once or twice a week at the Blue Temple with Minister Lorenzo Jones as the facilitator. The group will address contemporary issues that are causing people to resort to crime, such as unemployment, homelessness, drug abuse and things like child pregnancies will be discussed. Understand this is for the hands on Ministers and Clergyman of all sorts.
For example Minister Rob Hilton runs the Recidivism Prevention Program, which will meet at APCI on a regular basis, this meeting should produce clergy that will go and speak to inmates a message of hope on a rotation basis. Understand people in prison get out and they come to Delaney Avenue "The Streets."
We realize the strength of the black community is the black church, and if we are not sanctioned by the church we are in fact clandestine to the community. We want to gain the support of the churches and be supported by a unified voice by bringing the community leadership together.
There is an illness in the streets and at some point nobody is safe. We have to come together and cure the illness of our community. People want something to do and we all know an idle mind becomes crafty.
We need the Support of the Congregations:
In the near future we will call on all of the churches!
